Welcome to my Passion
I’m Jaime, the founder of The Rescue & Rise Sanctuary. For over three decades, I’ve dedicated my life to intuitive healing, Reiki, and energy work, helping people find balance, clarity, and renewal. Alongside my passion for human wellness, I also foster and care for animals in need, providing them with safety, love, and energetic support during their most vulnerable times.
My vision for Rescue & Rise is to bridge these two worlds, supporting not only the animals who come into our care, but also the people who love and serve them. From pet parents to veterinary staff, I believe healing is a shared journey, and when we nurture both humans and animals, we create stronger, more compassionate communities.

Meet Zeus. Zeus is a part of our immediate family and a daily reminder of why my work here matters so deeply.
Four years ago, my parents noticed a fast-growing lump on Zeus's hind end. Within weeks, it became clear that something was very wrong. We were told his condition was terminal and his life was coming to an end. A month later, his symptoms worsened, and we rushed him to the ER, believing it was time to let him go.
We were placed in the room no one wants to enter. We said our tearful goodbyes and made peace that we were doing the right thing. The doctor came in with unexpected news. Zeus has a 97% chance of survival with surgery. At that moment, we chose hope, and hope won.
Today, Zeus is 10 years old and still with us. He is my dad's best friend. His story is a living reminder of resilience, trust, and the power of not giving up.
Supporting clients, patients, and the professionals who care for them, Rescue & Rise Sanctuary offers wellness services designed to reduce stress, improve resilience, and create balance in the demanding world of veterinary care. This includes simply holding space for animals awaiting surgery and providing calming support. Services include Reiki for patients to ease anxiety and support healing, wellness sessions for veterinary staff to prevent burnout and restore balance, and compassionate support for clients navigating the stress of appointments and procedures. Together, these practices create a more harmonious environment where animals, caregivers, and professionals can thrive
Why I Do What I Do
My journey has always been rooted in caregiving, both for humans and animals. I have cared for both my grandmothers alongside my father when I was pregnant with my third baby. One of them had Alzheimer's, and the other dementia. It was a difficult journey to watch them go through, but I was blessed to spend time with them in their later years. We also always had animals growing up, and this continued into adulthood. I have been working with The Ark Of San Juan Capistrano as a foster for mama cats who are pregnant or have just given birth. Last year I received two knee replacements. This grew my love even more for the healing work I do for both humans and animals.
I am a proud San Diego native and a mother of three wonderful and gifted children. My oldest graduated from Berkley and is not attending law school. Her healing gift is to help others in need.
My middle child is studying Environmental Science and Policy, ready to save our planet. She will have her master's degree in four years. Lastly, my youngest will graduate high school a year early and make his way into an engineering degree, specialty TBD. All three have taken to the healing and giving back side of life, and I couldn't be prouder.
I am grateful that, in my journey, I have been blessed to work not only with my clients, two-legged and four-legged, but also with their families and the wonderful caretakers who work long, hard hours day in and day out.
This is why I am bringing a healing approach to the entire circle of care.
